The Department of Meteorology has issued an Amber advisory for strong winds affecting the Central, Sabaragamuwa and North Central provinces, along with the Monaragala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar districts.

The advisory is in effect until 11.00 a.m. tomorrow (11), with wind speeds of 40–50 kmph expected at times due to active south-west monsoon conditions.

The public has been advised to remain vigilant and follow further updates issued by the Department of Meteorology.
