The Department of Meteorology stated that mainly dry weather will prevail across most parts of the island.

Fairly strong winds of 30–40 kmph are expected at times over the eastern slopes of the central hills, as well as the Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern and Uva provinces and Hambantota district.

Misty conditions may occur in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces, and in the Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura districts during the early morning hours.
