The Ministry of Education (MOE) has released new circular reinforcing discipline measures in schools, emphasising that no child should face physical or psychological harm. 

The guidelines, sent to provincial and school authorities, build on previous directives from 2016 and reference a Supreme Court (SC)ruling. 

Corporal punishment is strictly prohibited at all levels, and violators will face legal action. 

The Ministry urges adherence to the court’s principles when handling student discipline.
