The World Food Programme has launched a US$10 million “Sow and Grow” project to strengthen the supply of Thriposha.
The five-year project, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency, will support 7,500 farmers in Anuradhapura, Monaragala and Badulla districts.
It aims to increase local maize production and ensure a stable supply of Thriposha for children under five and pregnant and breastfeeding women.
