A final decision on whether the Kavadi dance segment will be included in this year’s Esala Perahera of the Devinuwara Uthpalawanna Sri Vishnu Maha Devalaya is expected today (27).

Southern Province Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Kithsiri Jayalath stated that a special discussion will be held in Matara at 4.00 p.m. to address concerns regarding the segment.

The meeting will be attended by the Public Security Minister, Inspector General of Police, Matara District Secretary and other senior officials.
