Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s private secretary, Sugeeshwara Bandara, was brought before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court this morning (23) in connection with an ongoing case.

Bandara is accused of receiving two salaries under the President’s expenditure head while serving as a secretary to Gotabaya Rajapaksa in 2022 and working as a Project Director at the Presidential Secretariat during Ranil Wickremesinghe’s tenure.
