A fire broke out at a cardboard-related products factory in Ranala, Kaduwela, early this morning(19), police reported.

The blaze, which began in a storage facility, caused severe damage to the premises, according to Nawagamuwa Police.

Firefighting units from the Colombo and Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Municipal Councils were deployed to extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the total value of the damage is still being assessed.
