Dengue control discussed at Temple Trees

A discussion on the progress of the Dengue Control Programme was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Dinesh Gunawardena at Temple Trees yesterday (26).
Mayors, Provincial Council Secretaries, Provincial Council Commissioners, Provincial Health Service Directors joined the meeting via zoom.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of gathering data on every control area and prioritizing the control of the spreading dengue menace.
The Mayors in attendance commented on the progression of the measures taken by each province to prevent the spreading of dengue.
They stated that high attention was paid to construction sites, schools and religious grounds as those places were prone to the breeding of dengue mosquitoes, and that the health and defence sectors had largely contributed to the project.
