Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka have surpassed 88,000 so far in April, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

A total of 88,221 visitors were recorded, with India leading at 25,634 arrivals (29%), followed by the United Kingdom, Australia, China and Russia.

Overall arrivals for 2026 have risen to 828,845, the SLTDA stated.
