Notorious underworld figure “Kudu Roshan” was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at his residence in Mattakkuliya, police said. 

A 9mm pistol and three live rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession. 

Further investigations are ongoing.

Police also arrested a suspect who aided and abetted the recent shooting that killed a commercial establishment manager in Ambalangoda. 

The suspect was taken into custody in Colpetty by the Financial Crimes Division.

Investigations revealed that the suspect had transported and abandoned the motorcycle used by the gunmen after the attack.

Police are continuing efforts to arrest the remaining suspects linked to the shooting.
