President Anura Kumara Dissanayake inaugurated the 20 MW ‘Windscape Mannar’ wind power plant in Mannar yesterday(15).

The project, developed by CEYLEX Renewables, was officially connected to the national grid, the President’s Media Division(PMD) stated.

The plant includes four wind turbines of 5 MW each, commissioned for the first time in Sri Lanka.

The President unveiled the commemorative plaque and participated in the turbine commissioning ceremony.
