Several spells of showers are expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts today.

A few showers may occur in the North-Western Province, while showers or thundershowers are possible in parts of Ampara, Monaragala and Batticaloa after 2 p.m.

Winds of 30–40 kmph are expected at times in several areas. The public has been advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning.
