The final rites of veteran left-wing political activist and senior attorney Lal Wijenayake will be held this afternoon (2) at the Mahaiyawa Public Crematorium in Kandy.

Wijenayake, an Executive Committee member of the National People's Power (NPP), passed away on 31 October at the age of 85.
