The Parliament is expected to establish a Parliamentary Committee on Post-Legislative Scrutiny, and steps have been taken to amend the Standing Orders accordingly.

The Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera also pointed out the need to provide capacity building and training to the Parliamentary staff on post-legislative scrutiny.

She stated thus during a meeting with the Regional Director for the Asia-Pacific and the Americas of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, Matthew Hedges, in Parliament recently.
