22 Army soldiers were injured in a road accident near Manamala Junction on the Nittambuwa-Kirindiwela Road today (21).

Police said the bus carrying the soldiers from Nittambuwa to Kirindiwela collided with a lorry travelling in the opposite direction.

According to reports, all injured personnel, including the bus driver, were admitted to Wathupitiwala Hospital.

20 of the soldiers have since been discharged, while one soldier and the driver remain under treatment.
