Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya, departed for Manila, Philippines, at midnight yesterday (8) to undertake an official visit at the invitation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). 

The visit aims to participate in events commemorating International Women’s Day.  

During her stay, she is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the International Women’s Day celebration hosted at the ADB Headquarters.

Additionally, Dr. Amarasuriya will hold bilateral discussions with various Philippine government ministers as part of her diplomatic engagements.  

The visit underscores Sri Lanka’s commitment to advancing women’s issues and strengthening international cooperation on gender equality initiatives.
