Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa was brought before the Hulftsdorp Courts Complex in Colombo today(27) in connection with the controversial Airbus deal.

The case was taken up after Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama ordered Rajapaksa to be remanded until today when the matter was heard on 13 October.

The order followed submissions by officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) and Rajapaksa’s lawyers.
