The Department of Meteorology has issued a warm weather advisory for several provinces across the country.

The heat index is expected to reach ‘Caution Level’ in parts of the Northern, North-Western, North-Central, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and Southern provinces, and Monaragala district tomorrow (21).

Authorities warned that prolonged sun exposure may cause fatigue and heat cramps.

The public has been advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities.
