A team of Sri Lankan doctors has successfully separated twin girls who were conjoined at the pelvis in a complex surgery.
The operation was carried out by medical teams from the Teaching Hospital Peradeniya, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Specialized Children’s Hospital and the University of Peradeniya Faculty of Medicine.
The twins, Linuli Tharulya and Lithuli Manulya, were born in 2021 and were separated during surgery on 10 June.
