Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Kavinda Jayawardana has expressed his appreciation to US President Donald Trump for his commitment to protecting persecuted Christian communities in Nigeria.

In a letter addressed to President Trump, MP Jayawardana commended his decisive action in addressing the violence, murders, and targeted attacks against Catholics and other Christians in Nigeria.

He highlighted that this demonstrates exceptional moral leadership on the international stage.

MP Kavinda Jayawardana further added, “The vision of a world where people of all races, ethnicities, and religions coexist peacefully resonates strongly with the values we cherish in Sri Lanka, a nation that has itself suffered the devastating consequences of religious and ethnic conflict.”
