The United Kingdom has increased its humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka to £1 million (USD 1.32 million) in response to Cyclone Ditwah, the British High Commission in Colombo said.
The aid, delivered through the Red Cross, UN agencies and local partners, is providing shelter, clean water, sanitation and other essential supplies to affected communities.
UK officials reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s recovery, while King Charles conveyed condolences and praised relief workers, highlighting the strong partnership between the two countries.
