The Supreme Court has completed its review of petitions challenging the Parliamentary Pensions (Repeal) Bill.
The court’s determination will be formally communicated to the Speaker of Parliament in due course.
Petitions were filed by former MPs claiming that certain provisions of the bill violate constitutional fundamental rights and require a special majority or public referendum.
The Bill, presented on 7 January, seeks to abolish pension entitlements of 512 former Members of Parliament.
