Minister of Health and Mass Media Minister Nalinda Jayatissa met with Phuntsho Wangyel, the newly appointed United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Officer-in-Charge (OIC)for Sri Lanka and Maldives, to discuss strengthening maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health education, and social protection. 

The Minister highlighted plans to establish 1,000 primary healthcare centers under the new National Health Policy. 

Both parties pledged to work together to ensure equitable healthcare and sustainable health outcomes.
