The deep depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a cyclone today (1), according to the Department of Meteorology.

The system is also forecast to develop into a severe cyclonic storm before crossing the Andhra Pradesh coast by 3 November.

Naval and fishing communities have been warned to avoid deep-sea areas between 10°N–15°N and 80°E–90°E until further notice, as wind speeds could reach 70–80 kmph.
