Strong winds of 50–60 kmph are expected at times over the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern provinces, and Trincomalee district due to active southwest monsoon conditions.

Winds of 30–40 kmph may occur in other parts of the island.
