Sri Lanka will enhance its futsal infrastructure through a public-private partnership, leasing Government land to private investors for stadium construction. 

The Cabinet approved a plan by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Harin Fernando to select investors via public procurement for building futsal stadiums with a 30-year lease. 

Accordingly, the initiative includes adding two artificial futsal surfaces at Torrington and Sugathadasa Stadiums, funded by a donation from the Government of Pakistan.
