Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya has stated that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad offer important guidance in addressing conflicts, divisions and humanitarian challenges facing the world.

In her Milad-un-Nabi message, she highlighted values including peace, equality, compassion, justice and mutual respect.

The Prime Minister stressed that these principles are particularly relevant to Sri Lanka’s multi-ethnic and multi-religious society, calling for greater empathy, unity and peaceful coexistence.
