The Air Force open PSA (Professional Squash Association) Squash Championship - 2023 concluded on a high note at the SLAF Squash complex at Base Ratmalana on 10 November. The finals were held in the women’s open and men’s open categories. The occasion was graced by Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa as Chief Guest along with Chairman of Air Force Squash Group Captain Dayan Sumanasekara, Secretary Air Force Sports Council and Vice President Sri Lanka Squash Federation as well as Organising Committee Head of Sri Lanka Squash Tournaments Group Captain Eranda Geeganage, Chief of Staff, members of the Air Force Board of Management and other distinguished guests from Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Squash. In the final of the women’s open, Chanithma Sinaly of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya demonstrated an outstanding performance, securing victory over the former standout squash champion Fathoum Zaleikha Issadeen at the Championship.
