Starting from tomorrow (15), 9,191 children in detention homes, child development centers, or under guardianship will receive a Rs. 5,000 monthly allowance. 

Minister of Women and Child Affairs Saroja Savithri Paulraj stated that Rs. 3,000 will be allocated for the child's welfare via development centers or guardians, while Rs. 2,000 will be saved in a National Savings Bank account for the child's future. 

Deposits will be made on the 10th of each month.
