A 23-year-old man suspected of acting as the shooter in an attempted murder involving a firearm in Dehiwala has been arrested, police stated.

The suspect was arrested yesterday (10) by the Special Task Force (STF) in the Habarakada area of the Athurugiriya Police Division.

Police stated that he was allegedly involved in an attempted shooting on Kadawatha Road in the Dehiwala Police Division on 4 August.

The suspect, a resident of Homagama, was handed over to Dehiwala Police for further investigations.
