The Department of Labour and Foreign Employment's island-wide Mobile Service will hold its Batticaloa District Workshop on June 28-29 at the Batticaloa Hindu College Stadium. 

The "Migrant Harasara" programme, the first of its kind, will be held for two days to evaluate migrant labour. Furthermore, bags containing school supplies are handed, smart boards are given to school classrooms chosen by the regional secretaries, and scholarships are awarded to the children of foreign workers.

In addition, workers who are registered with the Foreign Employment Office are often provided vouchers, financial help for beginning self-employment, and wheelchairs and spectacles when they travel overseas for work.

This location also hosts the "Smart Youth Club" program, which helps young people looking for work by offering assistance for vocational training. The allocation of the President's Fund for vocational training will also be disclosed through the employment agreement.

This "Jayagamu Sri Lanka" program also includes the "Garu Saru" program, which verifies the safety and professional dignity of informal workers while also educating people about labour laws and human trafficking.
