The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs announced a one-time nutrition allowance of Rs. 5,000 for pregnant mothers, in light of the current disaster situation and upcoming festive season.

Eligible mothers registered at maternal clinics by 30 November 2025 will receive the allowance starting 16 December through Divisional Secretariat offices.

The programme is implemented by the National Secretariat for Early Childhood Development under the Ministry to support maternal health during this period.
