Former Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and 3 others, who were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for allegedly misusing funds in 2014, were granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court (MC) today (3).

According to reports, the former Minister and his wife were arrested yesterday (22) for allegedly misusing Rs. 6.1 million provided to aid people displaced by floods in 2014. The funds were instead used in the 2015 Presidential election campaigns.
