SLFP MP Shan Vijayalal De Silva joins SJB

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Opposition Parliamentarian Shan Vijayalal De Silva has decided to support the main Parliamentary Opposition, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), said SJB National Organiser Tissa Attanayake.

De Silva was elected as an MP during the last General Election representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.

A former Chief Minister of the Southern Province and Governor of the Eastern Province, he is a senior member of the SLFP.

De Silva had received his party membership from SJB and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday (1 January). Meanwhile, he has also been appointed as the SJB’s Chief Organiser for the Ambalangoda electorate.
