The Department of Meteorology has issued an ‘Amber’ advisory for severe lightning across multiple provinces and districts.

The advisory is in effect from 1.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. today (02).

Thundershowers with lightning and temporary strong winds are expected in affected areas.

The public has been advised to take precautions to minimise damage.
