All Ambassador-designates of Sri Lanka who met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on 22 January have received clearance from the Parliamentary Committee on High Posts, enabling them to assume their respective diplomatic postings. 

The appointments include Dharshana M. Perera as the High Commissioner-designate to Malaysia, D.M.S.P. Dassanayake as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, Dayani Mendis as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative-designate to Austria, S.P.W. Pathirana as the Ambassador-designate to Romania, N.I.D. Paranavitana as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative-designate to Ethiopia and the African Union, S.K. Chandrasiri as the Ambassador-designate to Israel, Dhammika Fernando as the High Commissioner-designate to Kenya, Anura Withanage as the Ambassador-designate to Lebanon, Prof. M.I. Fazeeha Azmi as the Ambassador-designate to Iran, and M. Farook M. Fawzer as the Representative-designate to Palestine.
