Sri Lankans will be able to witness the Orionid meteor shower tonight (20) and early tomorrow (20), with peak visibility expected between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
The new moon provides dark skies, offering ideal viewing conditions.
The Orionids, created by debris from Halley’s Comet, can be seen with the naked eye especially from rural areas away from city lights.
The shower is expected to remain active for several nights.
