The touring Joseph Cooray Cricket Academy Under-15 team from Sydney, Australia beat Golden Memorable Athletic Cricket Club of Moratuwa by a comfortable 175-runs in a 50 overs encounter, played at the Singhalese Sports Club (SSC), Grounds on Tuesday (14). 

This is the second visit of the Joseph Cooray Cricket Academy to Sri-Lanka and their main purpose is for the youngsters from Australia to experience the culture and have the experience of playing in different cities of Sri-Lanka.

During their tour here in 2025, the Joseph Cooray Cricket Academy handed over around 80 cricket equipment to players in Colombo/Galle/Kandy and Weeraketiya areas. 

This year they played against five teams and brand new (Grade 1) Kookabura bats were presented to the opposition players of each team (14 X 5 – 70 bats) and (two) I pads for each team.
