A video clip of Colombo Mayor Vraie Cally Balthazaar recently seen dancing to the tunes of a traditional Japanese cultural dance during an event went viral on social media last week.

The video clip shows Balthazaar dancing to traditional Japanese music along with several others at a recent event held in Colombo to showcase Japanese culture and traditions. The event was held at the National Youth Services Council to mark 73 years of Sri Lanka-Japan friendship.

Meanwhile, Balthazaar in her Facebook post had stated that she was honoured to meet Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka Akio Isomata and Japanese Embassy First Secretary Shinichi Murata.
