Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa convened a meeting with foreign policy experts and former diplomats to discuss the security and economic risks of the Middle East crisis.

He noted that tensions in the region could affect fuel supplies, remittances and exports in Sri Lanka.

Premadasa also announced the PSOP initiative focusing on energy security, protection of migrant workers, export stability and diplomatic neutrality.
