The Colombo Magistrate’s Court (MC)has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to continue investigating Piumi Hansamali under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. 

Hansamali’s legal team claimed her cosmetics business was negatively impacted by police actions, while CID officials highlighted links to a drug trafficker and the discovery of her BMW at his residence. 

The court emphasised that the investigation must not harm her business and ordered regular progress reports.
