Sri Lanka’s coconut export earnings reached $514mn during January–May this year, a 21% increase compared to the same period in 2025, the Coconut Development Authority said.
Chairman Shantha Ranathunga said the growth came despite global shipping disruptions and higher freight and fuel costs.
He said stronger production and international demand supported export performance.
However, fresh king coconut exports fell by around 33%, mainly due to reduced demand in key markets such as Dubai.
