The Sri Lanka Transport Board plans to introduce a card-only payment system for bus fares in the coming months.

Chairman Sanjeewa Kanagaratne stated that the system will be implemented across SLTB services.

He noted that broader digitalisation of SLTB operations is expected within the next three years.
