Several spells of showers are expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts today (27), the Department of Meteorology stated.

Showers or thundershowers are also expected in parts of the Uva and Eastern provinces and several districts after 2.00 p.m.

The public has been advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
