The latest development in local cricket administration, during these troubled times, is that the two rival parties – the incumbent Shammi Silva camp and the Roshan Ranasinghe-Arjuna Ranatunga camp – are currently having discussions, it is understood, to form a joint committee with four officials from each camp, and go for elections by May. The SLC constitutional change will be a factor to be sorted out in the meantime or thereafter, it is also learnt.
