President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will present the 2026 Budget in Parliament at 1.30 p.m. today (07) in his capacity as Minister of Finance. 

This marks the 80th budget of independent Sri Lanka.

The Budget Debate will run from 8 November to 5 December, with the second reading vote scheduled for November 14 and the third reading on 5 December. 

Debates will be held daily except on Sundays and public holidays, according to the Department of Communication of Parliament.
