A 16-year-old student tragically lost his life after a wasp attack.

The incident took place in the Bambarakelewatta locality of Nuwara Eliya, Central Province. The victim was part of a group of four who were attacked by wasps.

According to witnesses, during their attempt to escape the swarm of wasps, the victim stumbled and fell down a precipice. 

In response to the emergency, the Nuwara Eliya Urban Council's Fire Brigade and local residents swiftly intervened to assist. Despite their best efforts, the victim succumbed to his wounds.
