The 2027 Appropriation Bill has been published in the Gazette, with estimated government expenditure for the 2027 financial year set at Rs. 4.99 trillion.

The first reading of the Bill is scheduled for 7 October while the Budget Speech and second reading are scheduled for 12 November.

The second reading debate will be held from 13 to 20 November, followed by the Committee Stage from 21 November to 14 December.
