A Swiss aircraft carrying 2.6 metric tons of disaster relief supplies arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport this morning from Zurich.

The 17-package consignment, including water purification units and essential equipment, was transported on Edelweiss Air flight WK 064.

The aid was received by the Deputy Ambassador of Switzerland and officials from the Disaster Management Centre.
