The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) between Sri Lanka and Finland to establish a Political Consultation Mechanism.

The Cabinet noted that the mechanism aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and facilitate regular consultations.

The MoU will cover cooperation in political, economic, educational, environmental, consular and cultural sectors, and exchanges on regional and multilateral matters.

The proposal was presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
